Gitza Enterprise

Some code needs its own walls. Gitza Enterprise is your own private forge: your own container, database and storage, isolated from every other customer, on your domain, on named South African infrastructure. We run it, back it up, patch it and monitor it.

It is the same forge as the public service, so everything in these docs applies. What changes is the isolation.

What is included

• Your own container, database and storage. Nothing is shared with another customer.
• Your own domain. git.yourcompany.co.za, or whatever you choose, with the certificate handled.
• Every layer in South Africa. Compute, database, file storage and backups, in named facilities.
• A signed POPIA operator agreement that names our hosting locations and covers return and deletion of your data on exit.
• Managed operations: patching, backups and monitoring, done by us.
• SLAs on the dedicated tier.
• Migration handled by us. We bring your repositories across, rather than you working through the migration guide one repository at a time.
• Invoiced in Rands, per instance.

Who it is for

Banks, insurers, investment firms, medical schemes, law firms, government departments and state-owned entities: anywhere data residency is written into your requirements, your tender or your compliance team’s questions rather than being a preference. Agencies use it for a client-branded instance the client’s own auditors can be pointed at.

If your requirement is simply that the code stays in South Africa, the public service already does that for every account. Enterprise is for when you need the isolation, the agreement and someone accountable in writing.

Moving between the two

Start on the public service and enquire about Enterprise when you need it, or the other way round. It is the same forge, so a move is a migration between two Gitza instances, and on Enterprise we do it for you.
